Since joining his Father’s firm O.T. Marshall Architects established in 1957, Tom has an extensive portfolio over 30 years of working on large scale, complex projects in which his vast knowledge and experience of Architecture, Project Management, Program Management elevates projects to their maximum potential. Tom firmly believes that emphasizing the importance of community revitalization provides long term value in creating diverse, sustainable and economic growth that creates a positive footprint for years to come on the surrounding neighborhoods, the City and Mid-South Region.
Tom received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee and attended the University of Illinois Graduate School of Architecture which he specialized in concept design theory obtaining a Masters of Architecture degree. In 1985, he was the recipient of the prestigious American Institute of Architects “Chicago Award” for his work on La Biennale di Venzia entry for the Ca Venia de Leone in Venice, Italy.
He has been the lead Architect for the Bass Pro Pyramid and Memphis City Schools 5 Year Master Plan, involved in statewide assessments of existing building conditions, the renovation and new building design of casino projects, the evaluation and risk assessment of medical and education facilities for seismic, ADA and other related matters.
